Gastronomy
When visiting any Aldeia Serrana, it is mandatory to stop to taste the local gastronomy.
Miranda do Corvo is one of the villages whose tradition and consequent specialty is Chanfana, which accompanies boiled potatoes and vegetables.
You should also try the Sirloin with Chestnut or Boar or you can also opt for the traditional Portuguese stew.
To accompany the meal at the table, corn bread and a good red wine (if you are not driving) cannot be missing.
For dessert we have cottage cheese with pumpkin jam, the traditional rice pudding or a beautiful egg pudding with honey and chestnut.
Don't miss the Orange and honey and walnut cakes either!
