Portuguese village in the district of Coimbra, with about 3 300 inhabitants. Headquarters of a municipality with 132.49 km² of area subdivided into 4 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Miranda do Corvo, to the east by Figueiró dos Vinhos, to the southwest by Ansião, to the west by Soure and to the northwest by Condeixa-a-Nova.
